Biography

1965Growing up in a music loving family, with the radio or record player always on, Carol started singing at the age of five with a local dance troop in Dagenham.

She joined an amateur dramatics society in London and this formed the backbone of her social life while she pursued a secretarial career. Once married, Carol balanced raising a family, employment and performing at charity events;  entertaining at hospitals, parties and for the elderly in care homes.

In 2000, while on holiday, she was invited to sing with a jazz band which re-ignited her passion for the genre, so on her return, Carol set out to “find jazz again”. She was delighted to realise that locally in Leigh on Sea the scene was buzzing, so from then on she became part of the regular line ups, and additionally started running two monthly clubs, one in Westcliff on Sea and one in Billericay. A dream was achieved in 2010 when she released her first CD ‘I’m Just a Lucky So and So’ and then seven years later her second recording, ‘Timeless’.

Carol continues to sing at a variety of venues and intends to enjoy every event that comes her way.
